Below are some common questions you might have, about the logistics of the VMAX program. If you find you still have questions, please contact us.
Can I use my own Vendors? Unfortunately we cannot comply with requests to work with alternative vendors. All VMAX campaigns are executed by VMAX Preferred Vendors only. We are confident that our VMAX vendors will do their best work possible with each Partner.
What is the scope of a campaign? For best results, you should target at least 500 accounts with your VMAX campaign. Each campaign targets one vertical, and the geography of your campaign can expand to target the 500 accounts or more, as long as you can serve that market.
What if I am an ISV? ISV partners are encouraged to team up with one of their resellers to execute a VMAX campaign. You can maintain the collateral material, but in order to see ROI we like to pair our ISVs with one or more resellers. If using more than one reseller, it is preferable that the two resellers are geographically distinct, so our teleprospecting vendor can route the leads appropriately.
Is my investment eligible for CDF reimbursement? Yes, your portion of your VMAX campaign is eligible for CDF reimbursement. If you follow the guidelines for CDF reimbursement, VMAX is eligible.
Can I be reimbursed if my target list was procured from a source other than the VMAX vendor? No.
How long does a campaign take? We try to execute your campaign within two to three months from the start. Teleprospecting execution typically begins during the second month once your custom vertical collateral materials have been created. Of course the nurture component of your VMAX campaign will continue until you close your new customers!
How much do I need to invest? In order to get involved in VMAX there are two investments that you will need to make: Financial and Human Resource. The level of investment required is dependent upon the specific marketing elements you are interested in executing. If you have a specific budget in mind, you can select only the elements that fit within your budget. Typically, a campaign will require between a $7K to $12K investment from the Partner, with the bulk of campaigns running about $8K from the Partner investment side.
You will also need to commit an internal resource from your organization to be the primary contact with our VMAX vendors. This individual will work to communicate your company’s needs to our VMAX vendors, approve proposals, put our vendors in touch with customers for case studies, and assist with articulating your value proposition to your target vertical. The total time investment from this individual over the course of a 2-3 month campaign is approximately 25 hours.
